This Privacy Policy explains how the Cute Calendar mobile application ("App") handles information on Android. By using the App, you acknowledge this policy.
1. Privacy summary
- Calendar events and your profile are stored locally on your device.
- The App does not operate its own cloud synchronization service.
- Advertising is shown to users without Premium, after GDPR consent is obtained.
- Google Play and RevenueCat process limited purchase information.
- The App does not sell personal information and does not share information for targeted advertising beyond what AdMob requires.
2. Information handled by the App
2.1 Information stored locally
The following may be stored in app storage or SharedPreferences:
- Event title, date, time, duration, location, notes, and color category;
- Profile name and profile picture URI;
- Theme preference, first day of week, compact view, week numbers setting;
- Morning reminder setting and notification prompt state;
- GDPR consent state (
gdpr_consent); - Premium status and purchase token;
- Selected launcher icon (Supporter feature);
- Admin code usage (development/testing only).
This information is used only to provide App functionality and is not intentionally uploaded to the developer's servers.
2.2 Advertising
For users without a Premium entitlement, Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) serves banner, native, interstitial, and app-open advertisements. AdMob may process device identifiers, IP address, app information, ad interaction data, and technical diagnostics. GDPR consent is requested before ads are shown where required by law.
Premium users (Lifetime, Supporter, or Remove Ads purchase) do not see advertisements.
2.3 Purchases
Optional purchases are processed through Google Play and managed with RevenueCat. These services may process:
- An anonymous RevenueCat App User ID;
- App package, version, device information, IP address, and technical diagnostics;
- Product identifiers, purchase tokens, transaction dates, subscription and renewal status;
- Store country, currency, and fraud-prevention information.

2.4 Information we do not intentionally collect
- No contacts, SMS, call history, or health data;
- No precise GPS location;
- No microphone or camera access;
- No personal data is sold by the developer.
3. Permissions
- Internet and network state — advertising, RevenueCat purchase verification, and external links;
- Notifications — optional local morning reminders at 8:00 AM;
- Boot completed, alarms, exact alarms, wake lock — scheduling and recovering reminders and widget updates after restart or device sleep;
- Photos / images — choosing a profile picture, stored locally;
- Billing — Google Play purchases;
- Battery-optimization settings — opening Android settings at your request to improve reminder reliability;
- Launcher component state — changing the launcher icon for Supporter users.
4. Notifications and reminders
Morning reminders are generated locally at 8:00 AM. The App does not use a remote notification server. Android notification permission is requested after an explanation. You can disable reminders at any time in the App or Android settings.
Device manufacturers may delay or suppress background work. The App uses redundant local scheduling, but exact delivery cannot be guaranteed on every device.
5. Purchases, restoration, and cancellation
The App requests current entitlement status from RevenueCat at launch and on resume. A Restore Purchases option is available. Subscriptions can be managed through the Google Play subscription page opened by the App. Cancellation stops renewal while access continues until the paid period ends. Refunds and billing issues are handled by Google Play under its own policies.
6. Data storage and deletion
Local data
Events, preferences, profile picture, consent state, and Premium status are stored in the App's private storage. The App does not provide cloud backup for this data.
Deleting your data
- Use the Reset option in the App to delete events and preferences;
- Clear app data from Android Settings → Apps → Cute Calendar → Storage;
- Uninstall Cute Calendar.
Data processed by Google (advertising and payments) is subject to Google's own retention policies.
7. Legal bases (GDPR)
- Consent — advertising (via
gdpr_consent), notifications, profile picture, external links; - Performance of a contract — delivering Premium and Supporter benefits;
- Legitimate interests — security, fraud prevention, and reliable app operation;
- Legal obligations — tax and payment requirements handled by applicable providers.
8. US state privacy disclosures
The developer does not sell personal information. Advertising through AdMob may involve sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising — GDPR/CCPA consent controls are provided in the App. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to request access, correction, or deletion. Purchase records controlled by Google or RevenueCat must be addressed through those providers.
9. Children's privacy
Cute Calendar is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Optional purchases are controlled by Google Play and device family payment settings.
10. Security
Reasonable technical measures are used to limit unnecessary data handling. However, no device or online service can be guaranteed completely secure. We recommend using a screen lock and keeping your device updated.
11. Your choices and rights
- Use the App without a profile name or photo;
- Disable notifications in the App or Android settings;
- Manage ad consent through Ad Privacy Settings in the App;
- Manage or cancel subscriptions through Google Play;
- Use Restore Purchases for eligible purchases;
- Clear app data or uninstall to remove local data;
- Exercise applicable rights by contacting the relevant data controller.

The App may open Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, bug-report website, Google Play pages, or other user-selected links. Those services have their own privacy practices.
13. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when App functionality, providers, or legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date identifies the current version. We recommend checking periodically.
